“Frey House II 1964”depicts Albert Frey’s second Palm Springs residence — an internationally recognized masterpiece of desert modernism. Designed by Frey in 1964 and constructed directly into the granite mountainside overlooking downtown Palm Springs, the home epitomizes Frey’s philosophy of blending built structure with the natural environment.
Bradley W. Giles captures this harmony through precise geometry, luminous desert light, and subtle color transitions that emphasize the dialogue between glass, steel, and stone. The painting showcases a mastery of architectural composition paired with the warm realism characteristic of the artist’s desert landscape works.
The original oil painting is housed in a vintage, custom, aged silver leaf finished, solid wood frame that was produced by the artist.
