This mural depicts a 1 of 4 sections of wall panels I produced for Tutankhamun's burial chamber recreation, for the Egyptian Museum at the Luxor Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada. These Egyptian panels were faithfully copied from the original 3,365 year old burial chamber panels that were discovered by British archaeologist and Egyptologist Howard Carter, who discovered the intact tomb of the 18th Dynasty Pharaoh Tutankhamun in November 1922...the best-preserved pharaonic tomb ever found in the Valley of the Kings.
Exact replicas of various items, including gilded & ivory couches, chests, thrones, shrines and a variety or other treasures were produced for the Luxor Hotel Tutankhamun museum exhibit. Howard Carter also discovered evidence of two further chambers, including the sealed doorway to the inner burial chamber, guarded by two life-size statues of Tutankhamun. In spite of evidence of break-ins in ancient times, Tutankhmun's tomb was virtually intact, and would ultimately be found to contain over 5,000 items.
Tutankhamun was the (boy king) Egyptian pharaoh who became ruler at nine years old in 1333 B.C until his untimely death a decade later 1343 BC. Custom mural commissions always accepted.
