This mural scene, at 302 Water Street, Henderson, Nevada...depicts a scene based upon the early arrival of the Paiute Indians into what is now the Whitney Mesa of Henderson, Nevada. The scene is set at the southern end of Whitney Mesa, looking southeast toward the Black Mountains and Railroad Pass. A small family group of Paiute Native Americans is seen in the mural on the mesa, in a time before European influence altered their land forever. The chief scans the horizon for signs of trouble, as food is being prepared for the evening meal of wild game and local vegetation. This is a perfect example of how a culture was able to survive in the harshest environments and adapt to it's adversity. Custom mural commissions always accepted.
